At Puroque, we understand that plans change. This Order Cancellation Policy explains when and how you can cancel an order, what happens to your payment when a cancellation is made, how we handle cancellations initiated by us, and what your rights are as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 of India. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. If you have any questions at any stage, our support team is always available to assist you promptly.

When Can You Cancel an Order

Whether or not you can cancel your order depends entirely on the current status of that order. Puroque processes and dispatches orders quickly, often on the same day or the next business day after the order is placed. For this reason, it is important to act as quickly as possible if you wish to cancel.

✓ Cancellation Allowed

Before Dispatch

If your order has not yet been dispatched from our facility, you may cancel it at no cost. There is no cancellation fee whatsoever for orders cancelled before dispatch. A full refund of the amount paid will be initiated within 5 to 7 business days of the cancellation being confirmed by our team. For COD orders cancelled before dispatch, no payment has been collected, so no refund is applicable.

✗ Cancellation Not Possible

After Dispatch

Once your order has been dispatched and handed to our logistics partner, we are no longer able to cancel or intercept the shipment. At this stage, the order is in transit and cannot be stopped. If you no longer wish to keep the order, you will need to wait for it to be delivered and then initiate a return request within 7 business days of delivery under our Return & Refund Policy.

After Delivery

If your order has already been delivered to you and you wish to send it back, the cancellation window has passed. In this case, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy. You have 7 business days from the date of delivery to initiate a return request for eligible items.

Act Quickly: Puroque processes orders rapidly. In many cases, orders placed before 12:00 PM IST on a business day are dispatched the same day. If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. Every minute matters once the packing process begins.

How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, please follow these steps carefully. The faster you act, the higher the likelihood that your cancellation can be processed before dispatch.

Contact Us Immediately

Send an email to support@puroque.com or use the live chat feature on puroque.com. You may also call us at +91 89206 17282 during business hours (Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST). Speed is essential — please do not delay.

Provide Your Order Details

In your cancellation request, please include: your Order Number (found in your order confirmation email), your registered email address or phone number, the name of the item(s) you wish to cancel, and your reason for cancellation. This information helps us process your request without any unnecessary back-and-forth.

Await Confirmation from Our Team

Our support team will check the current status of your order and respond within 2 business hours during working hours. If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will confirm the cancellation immediately and initiate your refund. If it has already been dispatched, we will inform you of your options.

Refund Initiated (for Prepaid Orders)

Once the cancellation is confirmed, your refund will be initiated within 5 to 7 business days to your original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as the refund has been processed from our end. The actual credit to your account may take an additional 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or payment provider.

Partial Order Cancellations

If your order contains multiple items and you wish to cancel only some of them (and not the entire order), a partial cancellation may be possible — provided that the items you wish to cancel have not yet been packed or dispatched at the time of your request.

To request a partial cancellation, contact us at support@puroque.com with your order number and clearly specify which item or items you would like to cancel. Our team will check whether those items have already been picked and packed.

If a partial cancellation is approved, a proportional refund will be issued for the cancelled item(s) only, minus any applicable shipping charges that may have been allocated to those items if shipping was calculated per item. The remaining items in your order will continue to be processed and delivered as normal.

Please Note: Partial cancellations are handled on a best-effort basis and cannot be guaranteed once the order packing process has begun. If all items in the order have already been packed together into a single shipment, it may not be possible to separate and cancel individual items at that stage.

Cancellation Initiated by Puroque

While rare, there are circumstances in which Puroque may need to cancel your order after it has been placed. We will always notify you by email as soon as a cancellation is initiated on our end and will provide a clear reason. The following are the situations in which we may cancel an order:

Product Out of Stock

If an item you ordered becomes unavailable after your order was placed due to a stock discrepancy, supply chain disruption, or unforeseen inventory issue, we will cancel the affected item and issue a full refund. We will notify you immediately and, where possible, suggest an alternative.

Pricing or Listing Error

If a product was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, system error, or any other technical reason, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. We will inform you of the correct price and you will have the option to re-order at the accurate price.

Payment Verification Failure

If payment cannot be confirmed or if our fraud detection system flags the transaction as suspicious and we are unable to verify the legitimacy of the order after attempting to contact you, we may cancel the order and reverse any charge. This is to protect you and all our customers from payment fraud.

Incomplete or Undeliverable Address

If the delivery address provided is incomplete, unverifiable, or falls outside our serviceable delivery zones and we are unable to reach you to correct it, we may cancel the order and issue a full refund after exhausting reasonable attempts to contact you.

Suspected Policy Abuse or Fraud

If an order is placed in violation of our Terms of Service, with evidence of fraudulent activity, or in a pattern consistent with systematic abuse of our platform or policies, we reserve the right to cancel the order and restrict future ordering from the associated account.

Force Majeure Events

In the event of natural disasters, government-mandated lockdowns, widespread logistics disruptions, or other force majeure circumstances that prevent us from fulfilling your order, we may cancel it and issue a full refund. We will always notify you promptly in such cases.

When Puroque cancels your order, you always receive a full refund — no exceptions.

Cash on Delivery (COD) Cancellations

COD orders follow the same cancellation rules as prepaid orders in terms of the cancellation window — cancellation is free and straightforward if the order has not yet been dispatched. Since no payment is collected upfront for COD orders, there is no refund to process for a cancellation made before dispatch.

Important COD-Specific Points:

  • COD orders are subject to a confirmation call from our team before dispatch. If we are unable to reach you to confirm the order, it may be held or cancelled to avoid unnecessary dispatch of unconfirmed orders.
  • If you refuse to accept a COD order at the time of delivery after it has been dispatched, the order will be returned to our facility by the courier partner. This is treated as a Return to Origin (RTO) and not as a standard cancellation.
  • Repeatedly refusing to accept COD orders at the time of delivery may result in COD access being restricted or disabled for your account in future purchases. This measure is taken to prevent unnecessary logistics costs and resource wastage.
  • If a COD order is refused at delivery for a valid reason such as wrong item delivered, damaged packaging, or incorrect product, please inform the delivery agent immediately and contact us within 48 hours at support@puroque.com. We will treat this as a damaged or wrong item issue under our Return & Refund Policy.

COD Refunds After Dispatch: Since no payment is collected at the time of a COD order, there is no financial refund due when a COD order is cancelled before or during transit. However, if you paid for a COD order after delivery and subsequently return it under our Return Policy, a refund will be issued via bank transfer or UPI to the details you provide. Orders That Cannot Be Cancelled

While we aim to accommodate all reasonable cancellation requests, there are specific circumstances in which we are unable to process a cancellation, regardless of when the request is made:

  • Orders that have already been dispatched and are in transit with our logistics partner.
  • Orders that have already been delivered to the address provided at checkout.
  • Orders for items that were specifically marked as "non-cancellable" or "final sale" at the time of purchase on the product page.
  • Orders placed during special promotional events or flash sales where the offer terms explicitly state that cancellations are not permitted.
  • Orders for perishable, time-sensitive, or personalised items where fulfilment has already begun at the time of the cancellation request.

If your order falls into any of the above categories and you still have a genuine concern, please contact us at support@puroque.com. We will do our best to find a fair resolution, which may include our standard return and refund process after delivery.

Cancellation Refund — Processing and Timeline

For prepaid orders cancelled before dispatch, a full refund of the amount paid will be initiated by Puroque within 5 to 7 business days of the cancellation being confirmed. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

Puroque charges absolutely no cancellation fee for any order cancelled before dispatch. The refund amount will be equal to the full amount paid at checkout, including any applicable GST. A GST credit note will be issued in compliance with Section 34 of the CGST Act, 2017 for all cancelled prepaid orders.

Once a refund is initiated from our end, the credit timeline is governed entirely by your bank or payment provider and is outside Puroque's control. If you do not see the refund after 10 business days from our refund confirmation email, please check your bank statement first, then contact us at support@puroque.com for assistance.

Modifying an Order

Once an order is placed on puroque.com, it enters our processing system immediately and we begin preparing it for dispatch. For this reason, order modifications — such as changing the product variant, quantity, delivery address, or payment method — may not always be possible after the order has been confirmed.

If you need to make a change to your order, please contact us immediately after placing it at support@puroque.com or via live chat with your order number and the specific change you require. We will do our best to accommodate your request before the order is dispatched.

Delivery Address Change

Address changes can be made before dispatch. Once the order is with the courier, address changes are not possible. Contact us urgently.

Product Variant / Quantity Change

Possible only if the order has not yet been packed. This may require cancelling and re-ordering in some cases.

Payment Method Change

Payment method changes after order placement are generally not possible. The order must be cancelled and re-placed with the new payment method.

Contact Details Update

Phone number or email updates for an existing order can be made before dispatch. Contact us with your order number and new details.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that any modification request will be fulfilled, as it entirely depends on how far along the order processing has progressed at the time of your request. In cases where a modification is not possible, we will suggest the best available alternative, including cancelling and re-ordering.

Failed Delivery and Return to Origin (RTO)

A Return to Origin (RTO) occurs when the courier partner is unable to deliver your order and returns the shipment to our facility. This can happen due to the following reasons:

  • The customer was unavailable to receive the delivery on all delivery attempts made by the courier.
  • The delivery address provided was incomplete, incorrect, or could not be located by the courier partner.
  • The customer refused to accept the delivery at the door (for reasons other than a legitimate defect or wrong item).
  • The customer was unreachable by phone during delivery attempts and the courier was unable to complete the delivery.

What Happens When an Order is Returned to Origin:

For Prepaid Orders

Once the RTO shipment is received back at our facility and inspected, we will contact you to understand the reason and offer you the choice of a re-delivery or a refund. If you choose a refund, it will be issued within 5 to 7 business days of the RTO package being received and verified at our end. A nominal re-delivery shipping charge may apply if you choose to have the item re-shipped.

For COD Orders

Since no payment was collected, no refund is applicable. However, the order will be treated as cancelled once the RTO is received at our facility. If you wish to re-order, you may do so on puroque.com. Please note that repeated RTO incidents on COD orders may result in COD being restricted for your account.

Avoid RTO Situations: Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate at the time of ordering. Make sure you or someone authorised to receive the package on your behalf is available during the expected delivery window communicated by the courier. Check your email and SMS for delivery notifications and tracking links so you can plan ahead.

Your Consumer Rights Under Indian Law

As a consumer purchasing from puroque.com, your rights are protected under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 of India. Nothing in this Order Cancellation Policy is intended to limit or override these statutory rights.

Under these laws, you have the right to:

  • Receive accurate information about the products you purchase before and at the time of purchase.
  • Be protected against unfair trade practices, including deceptive cancellation or refund policies.
  • Receive a full refund for any valid cancellation made before the goods are dispatched.
  • Seek redressal through our Grievance Officer if your cancellation or refund request is not handled fairly.
  • File a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission if you believe your consumer rights have been violated.

Puroque reserves the right to update or revise this Order Cancellation Policy at any time. All changes will take effect immediately upon being published on this page. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document reflects when the most recent revision was made.

We encourage you to review this policy each time before placing an order. The version of this policy applicable to your order is the one published on puroque.com at the time your order was placed. If a material change is made that affects existing orders, we will make every reasonable effort to inform you by email.

It is governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the CGST Act, 2017, and all other applicable laws of the Republic of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
