Our Story — How Puroque Came to Be

Puroque was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in 2020 — right in the middle of one of the most uncertain periods India had seen in decades. The world had slowed down, and like many people at that time, our founders found themselves rethinking what they were building and why.

The idea was straightforward: build an online store that people in India could actually trust. Not just trust in the sense of "the product will arrive" — but trust in every part of the experience. Trust that the price shown is the price you pay. Trust that if something is wrong, someone will actually fix it. Trust that the business behind the website is real, registered, and accountable.

We started small, as most honest businesses do. We registered Roziyo Trading Private Limited formally under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, obtained our GST registration, set up a proper office in Sector-9, Vasundhra, Ghaziabad, and built puroque.com on Shopify — choosing every supplier, every product, and every policy with deliberate care.

The name Puroque does not have a complicated origin story or a forced meaning attached to it. It was chosen because it felt clean, distinctive, and easy to remember across languages — qualities we wanted the brand itself to embody.

Since then, we have grown steadily — not rapidly, not recklessly. Puroque is an e-commerce retailer and reseller. We do not manufacture any of the products we sell. We source products from established manufacturers, authorised distributors, and reputed brands across India and make them available to customers through puroque.com. Every product on our platform has been selected through a deliberate review process — we do not list products simply because they are cheap or trending.

We currently sell across six main product categories:

Accessories

Fashion and lifestyle accessories for everyday use — bags, wallets, jewellery, belts, sunglasses, and personal carry items. We select accessories that balance quality materials, thoughtful design, and fair pricing. We look for products that hold up to daily use, not just unboxing.

Home Goods

Practical and aesthetic products for the home — storage solutions, kitchen accessories, home organisation tools, decor items, and utility products that make everyday home life easier and more enjoyable. We focus on products that solve real problems, not decorative fillers.

Plants

Indoor and outdoor plants sourced from reliable nurseries and growers across India. We work with plant suppliers who prioritise healthy root systems and proper packaging for transit. Every plant is shipped with care instructions and is covered under our 48-hour DOA policy if it arrives in poor condition.

Baby Items

Products for babies and young children — feeding accessories, nursery items, soft toys, baby clothing, and developmental play items. Safety is non-negotiable in this category. We list only products from brands that comply with applicable Indian safety standards, including BIS IS 9873 for toys where relevant.

Automobile Accessories

Car and two-wheeler accessories that improve comfort, convenience, safety, and aesthetics — seat covers, organisers, cleaning kits, phone mounts, tyre accessories, and more. We list compatibility information clearly and source from manufacturers who provide reliable fitment data.

Beauty Products

Skincare, haircare, cosmetics, and personal care products from brands that are compliant with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011. We list full ingredient information where available and display shelf life and manufacturing dates as provided by the brand.

How We Evaluate Products Before Listing Them: Before any product appears on puroque.com, we ask ourselves a few honest questions. Does this product do what it claims? Is the manufacturer a legitimate, identifiable business? Are the materials and safety standards appropriate for the category? Is the price fair relative to the quality? Can we stand behind this product if a customer has a problem with it?

We are not perfect, and occasionally a product does not meet customer expectations despite our screening process. When that happens, we fix it — through our return policy, through direct communication with the supplier, and by removing or updating the listing if the issue is systemic. We take product quality feedback seriously and use it actively to improve our catalogue.

You browse, select a product, and complete checkout on puroque.com. The website runs on Shopify, a globally trusted e-commerce platform. Payment is processed securely through our RBI-regulated payment gateway partner. You immediately receive an automated order confirmation email with your order number, a summary of what you ordered, and the delivery address you provided. This email is your receipt and can be used for any future communication with our team.

Order Processing and Verification

Our operations team reviews and processes your order, typically within 24 hours on business days. During this stage, we verify stock availability, confirm the delivery address, check the payment status, and prepare the GST tax invoice for your order. If we notice any issue — such as a discrepancy in your address or a temporary stock shortage — our team will contact you directly by email or phone before proceeding.

Packaging and Dispatch

Products are packed carefully at our facility to minimise the risk of damage in transit. We do not outsource packing to the manufacturer — we pack orders ourselves, which allows us to maintain a consistent standard and catch any visible quality issues before the product leaves our hands. Once packed, the parcel is handed to our logistics partner and a tracking number is generated. You receive a shipping confirmation email with the tracking number and a link to track your order in real time.

Transit and Delivery

From dispatch, your order is in the hands of our logistics partner. We work with established courier companies — including providers such as Shiprocket, Delhivery, Bluedart, and DTDC — depending on the destination and weight of the parcel. Standard delivery across India typically takes 4 to 7 business days from the date of dispatch. Remote or rural locations may take slightly longer. You can track your parcel at every stage using the tracking number shared with you.

After Delivery — We Do Not Disappear

This is where many online stores let customers down. Once delivery is confirmed, our job is not over. Our 30-day return window, warranty coordination, exchange process, and customer support remain fully active. If something is not right with your order — whether it is a product defect, a missing item, or simply a change of mind — our support team is reachable by email and phone and we will resolve it properly. All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of GST. There are no hidden charges, no surprise fees added at checkout, and no dynamic pricing that inflates costs based on your location or browsing history.

GST Included in Price

Every price on our website already includes the applicable GST. The amount you pay at checkout is the exact total — not a base price that GST is added to separately. You will receive a proper GST tax invoice for every order.

Free Shipping Thresholds

We offer free shipping on orders above our stated threshold, and any applicable shipping charge for smaller orders is displayed clearly before you reach payment — not sprung on you at the final step.

No Restocking Fees

If you return a product under our return policy, you receive back every rupee you paid for the product. We do not charge a restocking fee, handling fee, or any other deduction from your refund amount.

Honest Discounts

When we show a sale price or a percentage discount, the original price shown is the actual price at which we previously sold the product — not an inflated "MRP" manufactured to make the discount look larger than it is.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) — CGST Act, 2017

How We Handle Complaints and Disputes

We do not enjoy receiving complaints — but we take them seriously when they come, because every complaint represents a real person who had a real problem with something we are responsible for. Our approach to complaint resolution is direct, fair, and transparent.

We acknowledge every email within 2 business days and aim to resolve the vast majority of complaints within 7 business days. For complex issues involving manufacturer warranty claims or courier investigations, resolution may take up to 30 days, and we will keep you informed at every stage.

If our support team has not resolved your concern to your satisfaction, you may escalate it to our designated Grievance Officer at privacy@puroque.com. The Grievance Officer is responsible for reviewing escalated complaints independently and providing a final response within 30 days of receiving the escalation.

If your complaint remains unresolved after following the above steps, you have the right to approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (District, State, or National, depending on the value of your claim) under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Our Suppliers and How We Source Products

Puroque works with a carefully selected network of manufacturers, authorised distributors, and branded suppliers across India. We do not source products from unverified or anonymous suppliers, and we do not blindly list whatever is cheapest. Every supplier relationship involves a review of the supplier's business legitimacy, the quality of their products, and their ability to support us if a customer has a problem.

We maintain written agreements with our suppliers that specify quality standards, genuine product guarantees, and the process for handling defective or non-conforming stock. When a product is found to be consistently defective or of poor quality, we work with the supplier to resolve it — and if it cannot be resolved, we remove the product from our platform.

We source from suppliers who can provide us with proper tax documentation, including GST invoices, so that our own tax compliance chain is complete and verifiable. We do not engage with suppliers who cannot provide legitimate purchase documentation.

Country of Origin
